Exciting developments at Kapama River Lodge & Kapama Southern Camp:

Introducing the New River Lodge Tamboti Superior Suites – Opening 15 December 2025.

These suites showcase a modern, contemporary design—spacious, light-filled, and framed by breath taking views of the surrounding bushveld.

In addition, with thoughtfully designed interleading rooms, the Tamboti Superior Suites are ideal for families, providing flexible space and privacy for children of all ages whilst ensuring a seamless and luxurious stay.

These suites will complement the existing Deluxe Suites’ look and feel, creating a more unified, sophisticated design identity for River Lodge.

At the same time, the current Spa Suites will be closed and undergo a full refurbishment to align with the modern look and feel of the Deluxe Suites, ensuring a cohesive aesthetic and elevated guest experience throughout the lodge.

The 4 Family Spa Suites will be replaced with the interleading Tamboti Superior Suites.

Kapama Southern Camp to become an exclusive boutique offering!

The next chapter for Kapama Private Game Reserve begins in July 2026, when Kapama Southern Camp will be transformed into a small boutique villa-only lodge, delivering an even more intimate and personalised safari experience.

Currently offering 10 Villas alongside 15 Standard Suites, Southern Camp will retire the Suites to emerge as an exclusive villa-only retreat. This evolution will provide guests with enhanced privacy, a thoughtfully curated experience, and a serene, tranquil setting—fully aligned with Kapama’s vision of ultra-luxury safari living.

The David Livingstone Safari Lodge & Spa

Exciting news... the long-anticipated renovations at The David Livingstone Safari Lodge & Spa are now complete! Guests can look forward to an enhanced experience with beautifully updated spaces, whilst still enjoying the charm and hospitality they know and love. 

Sabi Sabi Collection : 

 The Sabi Sabi Collection will extend its hospitality offering to Cape Town this October with the opening of The Claremont Boutique Hotel, located in the leafy suburb of Claremont. This is the Collection’s first property beyond its celebrated safari lodges in the Sabi Sand region, creating a natural city-to-safari journey for travellers.

 At the heart of the property is a 1928 manor house designed by Magdalena Sauer, South Africa’s first registered female architect. The building has been restored with care to maintain its heritage character while introducing modern comforts.

The hotel offers 15 rooms: a choice of Classic Rooms, Deluxe Rooms, and the exclusive Sauer Villa — a private suite with its own pool and entrance. Accommodation is set either within the historic Manor House, overlooking gardens, or around the gardens and pool. Also featured is a garden pool, spa, and sauna, creating a balance of privacy and well-being.

 The Claremont’s shared spaces reflect its connection to the Sabi Sabi lodges. The Safari Library anchors the hotel as a Cape expression of Sabi Sabi’s welcoming heart, complemented by the Manor house lounge and Sun lounge which provide light-filled, heritage-rich settings for relaxation.

Dining is a highlight of the experience. The Veld & Vine Bistro offers seasonal menus showcasing Western Cape produce with a South African twist. The Koffiehuis serves artisanal coffee and an all-day high tea, while evenings are drawn to the 1928 Craft Bar, featuring South African wines, cocktails, and craft spirits.
